The Love & Love Tennis Foundation raised a little over $27,000 benefiting Junior Tennis in the Coachella Valley.
The Jackie Cooper Award was presented to good friend and tennis Hall of Famer, Charlie Pasarell. He is the first recipient of this award and his daughter Laura Regusci was there to do the honors. In addition, Charlie Pasarell was also presented with a Proclamation from Palm Desert’s Mayor Pro Tem Jan Harnik, declaring Sunday, April 24, “Charlie Pasarell Day”.
The morning started out with the Team Pro-Am consisting of juniors, pros and amateurs playing an all doubles round robin format. The afternoon program featured a great BBQ lunch, Auction, Raffle and the featured Pros & Junior Shoot-Out between Team Cooper and Team Fretz. Team Cooper won 30-25 point score.
All in all it was a great day for tennis, especially Junior tennis as we raised a little over $27,000.
